Meet J.R., J.R. is an Arizona native and earned a degree in business management from the University of Phoenix.  He transitioned into the aviation industry after a successful career in the low-voltage, security, and automation industry.  He was Venture West Aviation’s first ever student to go from 0 hours to CFII, and embodies the school’s passion for excellence in training.

Flying has been a life-long passion for J.R., and he brings with him a background of instructing in technical and detail-oriented subjects, which aids his ability to teach complex principles to his flight students. He has helped the school design and implement training materials and study aids, and actively works to help the school refine its curriculum and pave the way for the next class of aspiring pilots.
